About Tribal Festival
Tribal Festival was founded in 2010 in Minsk, Belarus, by Leonid Ignatenkov. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest tribal belly dance festivals in Europe, evolving with every edition.
In 2014, the Dark Fusion Tribal dancer, Ethel AnimA, joined forces with Leonid, infusing the event with new energy. Together, they created an immersive experience that transcended borders, bringing together tribal dancers from across the globe.
By 2016, Ethel took full responsibility for the festival’s organization, yet its core remained unchanged— a celebration of tribal dance, fostering unity and support within the community.
In 2023, the festival found a new home in the vibrant city of Krakow, Poland.
At Tribal Festival, for three enchanting days, dancers from around the world unite to learn from their favorite teachers, perform on stage at the Tribal Party and Gala Show, and weave a magical world—a parallel universe where beauty and passion for dance take center stage.
The festival is open to dancers of all levels, inviting them to join, learn, and perform in a celebration of movement, art, and community.
Mission of the Festival
The primary mission of our festival is to help everyone turn their dreams into reality. We aim to nurture the growth of the tribal fusion bellydance community and popularize this unique dance style. We provide an opportunity for dancers to immerse themselves in the magic of movement, bringing together individuals who share a passion for dance.
Through this festival, we strive to make the world a better place by showcasing the beauty, diversity, and depth of dance as an art form. We believe in the power of self-expression, freedom, and the transformative nature of dance.
Over the course of three days, the festival offers a unique escape into a parallel reality, free from everyday worries and stress. It’s a chance to learn from world-class instructors and performers, to be inspired, and to make your dreams come true.
Above all, we create a safe and supportive environment where everyone is accepted, understood, and encouraged. It’s a space where dancers can freely express themselves without fear of judgment, fostering a sense of belonging and community.
This festival is a celebration of artistry, inclusion, and the power of dance to unite and inspire people.
